Design thinking refers to the set of cognitive, strategic and practical procedures used by designers in the process of designing, and to the body of knowledge that has been developed about how people reason when engaging with design problems.
Design thinking is also associated with prescriptions for the innovation of products and services within business and social contexts. An iterative, non-linear process, design thinking includes activities such as context analysis, user testing, problem finding and framing, ideation and solution generating, creative thinking, sketching and drawing, prototyping, and evaluating.
For years, our education system has followed a standardized model, where students often passively consume information. While some may argue that this model has become outdated, we believe it was never the best approach to begin with. The reality is that every child is unique, and the one-size-fits-all method doesn't cater to their individuality.
Just like socks, the same size doesn't fit all when it comes to nurturing young minds. Children are naturally curious and imaginative. They yearn to dream, wonder, and create. They thrive when given the opportunity to design, build, and tinker. This is where design thinking comes in. It offers a flexible framework that guides students through specific phases in the creative process, allowing them to explore their full potential.
