Filled with fun winter phenomenon, this camp explores practical ways kids can use science to fall in love with winter. Our learning experiences will range from building igloos on a snow day to Einsiedeln to excursions to the Umwelt (Sustainability Arena) and learning about some fun real-world examples of how science and innovation can solve problems and encourage sustainability!
April 28th to May 2nd 2025
Welcome spring and new life by learning about the concept of biomimicry and apply strategies found in nature to solve human design challenges. A camp to develop engineering skills through nature's inspiration!
July 14th to 18th 2025 (Week 1 ZH Holidays)
August 11th to 15 2025 (Week 5 ZH Holidays)
We focus on the question, “How can we use art to protect the Earth?” We practice how to sustainably create art and explore “How can we use art to connect with diverse people?” This second question builds on our 2024 “Living in Harmony” camp. Being summer, we make full use of being outdoors, go to the lake and on field trips to Kunsthaus, a Graffiti Park and The Enea Tree Museum in Rapperswil.
July 21st to July 25th 2025 (Week 2 ZH Holidays)
We focus on the question “What do we need to live in harmony?” We explored the importance of cultural diversity and acceptance through cultural games, a trip to the farmers market and creating street art. We then learn about biodiversity through a private tour at the Wildnis park and how both cultural and biodiversity are important and intertwined for living in harmony.

About Design Thinking
Design thinking refers to the set of cognitive, strategic and practical procedures used by designers in the design process - basically to solve problems! It encourages us to look closely at how people reason when engaging with these problems. It exposes us to different perspectives, building empathy and encourages creativity in innovation. These are some of the reasons why we love it for building a sustainable mindset.
Design thinking is iterative (it can keep going!) and non-linear , which also helps children build resiliency in solving problems.
